He is banished for the evening, then sneaks into the kitchen for water. Camila finds him there, notes that Ava has already dozed off, and announces new rules with a grin. The invitation to sit beside her is made quietly.

Our take A girls-night ban turns into a game of who gets caught in the kitchen. The sleeping friend on the couch is an easy source of suspense. Chatty, though the setup moves quickly.

The living room is dim and Ava is a few feet away, breathing evenly. Camila asks if he is nervous, teases him about loyalty, and finds that the stepsibling label only makes him more tense. Every time he mentions the girlfriend, she takes it as encouragement.

Our take The sleeping girlfriend is a source of constant suspense, and Camila's teasing about loyalty is the best writing so far. The stepsister reveal is a good turn. A strong draw for the paid episodes.

Synopsis

Ava has declared a girls' night: no boys, no exceptions, and her boyfriend is sent away with a wave. The trouble is that her best friend Camila is also his stepsister, and the two have been circling each other for two years under the same roof. Ava drops off on the couch partway through every film, which Camila knows better than anyone. Tonight, when he wanders in for a glass of water, the rule changes. He is allowed now, according to Camila, and she wants to test how loyal he really is with the sleeping girlfriend just a few feet away. Every move has to be silent, and every pause could be the last.

Watch it if...

For fans of a rule-breaking game played at whisper volume. The setup is crisp: one sleeping girlfriend, two people who should not, and an hour with no chaperone. Camila drives every scene with dry humor, and the tension depends on the room rather than on speeches. Short, mischievous and easy to start.
