At a save-the-turtles rally, Cole honks at the worst possible moment and gets an earful. Kayla insists he has no chance, catches him staring anyway, and still accepts his water. By the end she is on the phone with Tess, complaining about the ride and admitting it was a little bit sweet.

Our take The rally premise is silly in the best way, and the honking gag gives it a strong comic start. Kayla's denials are funnier than the setup, and the cute phone confession is the real hook.

Synopsis

Kayla has already issued her verdict on Cole. He is a pervert, he is not her type, and the case is closed. Then the parents leave town for a week and the two stepsiblings are stuck sharing a house, a car and a long list of awkward moments. Cole is clumsy, loud at the wrong times and weirdly hard to stay angry with. Kayla keeps phoning her friend Tess to report his crimes, and the reports sound less like complaints each day. A seagull, a bottle of water, a protest sign: small accidents keep stacking up. Down the street, a neighbor has noticed everything and has ideas of her own about it.

Watch it if...

Pick this for a slow burn that dresses up as a feud. The bickering is quick, the insults are inventive, and every denial from Kayla works as a confession. It suits you if you like banter with a comic tone and a growing sense that the neighbor is about to complicate everything. Episode one plays with no account, so it costs nothing to test.
