1. Episode 1 1 min 13 sFree, no account
Day one by the pool. The wife is ill, the stepdad is on duty, and Harriet asks for help with the suncream. Their phone call with Mum is a masterclass in double meaning. By the end, a curtained poolside bed is looking like a plan.
Our take The phone call with Mum is the highlight, a farce of innuendo played with a straight face. The poolside setting is breezy, and the pacing rarely slows. Easily earns the second episode.

2. Episode 2 about 1 minFree with an account
Harriet reveals how long she has been watching her stepdad, and he struggles to remember he is meant to be the responsible one. When Mum calls with a snack request, the pair have a very short window to put themselves back together.
Our take Harriet's confession gives the stepdad a proper dilemma, and the cookie request from Mum is a brilliantly timed interruption. The tone stays playful, and the stakes jump nicely. A strong bridge to the paid episodes.

Synopsis

The resort is gorgeous, the weather is perfect and the mother of the family is flat on her back with a stomach bug. Her instructions are cheerful and fatal: keep her daughter Harriet company. Harriet is twenty three, witty and fond of pointed remarks about big hands. Her stepdad, a decent man with a sense of duty and a sense of humor, tries to treat the week like a chaperone job. Harriet has other ideas. Sunscreen, cabanas and an endless supply of reasons to stand a little closer fill the days, while the sick wife keeps texting from upstairs, trusting everyone completely.

Watch it if...

A hit for fans of close-quarters comedy with a cheeky British flavor. The banter is quick, the guilt is real, and the setup keeps a phone call hanging over every scene. The stepdad is the sort of decent bloke you root for even as he loses the argument with himself, and Harriet is gleefully confident. Pick it for the holiday atmosphere and the constant risk of being caught.
