He barges in on the wrong compartment, and the boss wants him out. Veronica insists he stay. The cabin is cold, the berths are narrow and she tells him he has always been her favorite. Then she asks him to warm her up.

Our take The train setting is great: cramped, cold and full of excuses. The boss being in the bunk adds welcome danger. The manipulation is a bit direct, but it moves nicely.

The boss wakes with a bad dream and Veronica soothes him as though nothing has happened. When the train pulls in she packs her husband off for coffee, then sends the employee after the luggage. They have minutes. She reminds him to call her ma'am.

Our take The sleepy husband is a fun comic obstacle, and her sending him for coffee is a clever bit of staging. The ma'am line is a strong closer. Efficient and cheeky.

Synopsis

The whole office is traveling together, and a mix-up at the station puts a junior employee in the wrong place: Compartment Twelve, which he must share with the boss and Veronica, the boss's wife. She is the woman he has secretly thought about for months. The boss is irritable, jealous of his own authority and eager to send him to the corridor. Veronica overrules him with a single sentence. As the train rolls through the night, she keeps finding reasons to be nearer, to ask for warmth, to hold his gaze. His job is on the line, her husband is within arm's reach, and the next stop is hours away.

Watch it if...

Watch it if you love confined spaces and quick wits. The train gives the story a ticking clock and nowhere to hide, and the boss sleeping nearby turns every glance into a gamble. Veronica is in control of every moment, and the employee's panic makes a good contrast. It is a compact, tense pick for fans of near misses.
