Orders pile up on his first night, and the manager is told to stay at the desk. He ignores the advice and delivers a tray to room eight hundred and eight. The guest says she was not hungry, then tells him exactly what she ordered.
Our take A breezy hotel fantasy with a snappy final line. The warning from the desk adds a nice wink, and the room service punchline lands. Light, but it moves.

Another guest has an order of her own and keeps him at her door. She asks him to come closer and names her dessert. He sees how things are done here, and admits it would be rude to leave her waiting.
Our take Same formula, new guest, and it still works because the delivery is confident. The night manager's nerves are relatable, though by now the hotel needs a bigger idea to stay fresh.

Synopsis

He expected a quiet first shift at the front desk of an elegant old hotel. Instead the new night manager is the lone man on the roster, and the guests are not the ones who need him. Orders come in from different floors, each from a different woman, and each call asks for something that is not on the menu. A colleague named Sloane warns him to stay put behind the desk, but the phones keep ringing. By the time he reaches room eight hundred and eight, he understands that this hotel runs on appetites. The question is whether he can make it to sunrise.

Watch it if...

Good fit for anyone who likes an anthology feel inside a single building. Each door opens on a new personality, the hotel setting adds old-world polish, and the hero is the perfect nervous newcomer. It is easy to dip into, light on plot and generous with charm.
