The boss gives his orders from abroad and Nate promises to obey. Lucy mocks the fee, notes how fast she dressed after the car left, and offers a script for the evening call. A late request to stay over puts Nate one wall away from her.

Our take The nightly phone call is a lovely ticking device, and the wife's dry mockery of the paycheck gives her real bite. Thin on Nate, but the staying-over twist makes the next step obvious.

   2. Episode 2 about 1 minFree with an account

The husband phones again and orders Nate upstairs to look in on his wife. She has been waiting, and she teases Nate about whether he is only checking in or planning to stay. With the boss still on the line, Nate has to decide what to answer.

Our take Smart move to keep the husband on the line while the temptation grows. Short and tense, with a sharp closing question, and it makes the paid episodes feel like the natural next room.
