1. Episode 1 1 min 3 sFree, no account
Lea slips into a quiet room and finds Jake already there. They trade teasing remarks about how little they are related while her boyfriend raves about a horse nearby. Someone decides the pair are getting along beautifully and suggests a morning ride, which Jake happily takes.
Our take The horse running gag is oddly lovely, and the step-cousin correction gets better each time. Clear chemistry, though the boyfriend is a bit of a cartoon. A pleasant opener.

Lea arrives late and breathless, and her boyfriend is calling for her from just outside. Jake is delighted by the danger. The two keep up a whispered exchange about silence, cousins and who is actually in charge, while the voice outside edges closer.
Our take The boyfriend wandering outside is a fine source of tension, and the whispered banter about who is in charge is the best writing of the pair. Compact and playful.

Synopsis

The reunion is held on a sprawling ranch, and Lea is already counting the hours. Her boyfriend is outside admiring a colt, her relatives are everywhere, and nothing about the weekend promises much. Then she meets Jake, the freshly acquired step-cousin her mother mentioned. He is easy, quick with a line, and not remotely troubled by how tangled the family tree has become. Lea has a boyfriend a few steps away and a whole house of witnesses, and she can't quite make herself walk off. Every conversation ends with a joke that sounds more like an offer, and the barn has plenty of corners.

Watch it if...

Watch it if the thrill for you is nearly getting caught. The ranch gives the story open space and no privacy, and the boyfriend is always one wall away, which keeps every scene wound tight. Jake is relaxed and playful, Lea is torn and curious, and the dynamic between them is easy to enjoy.
