Jake starts his new job under his girlfriend's stepmother, Mrs. Margot Vey, who is the boss. In the first meeting she clears the room after he points out a mistake on a slide. She suggests that he stay late. His girlfriend phones to say she is coming in five minutes, and he panics.

Our take A workplace setup with a smart mistake-on-a-slide trigger, and Margot clearing the room is a power move. The girlfriend's call is classic farce with quick timing. Episode 2 is an easy yes.

Jake tells his girlfriend that he is working late, and Margot replies that he is, for her. She tells him to lock the door and assures him that his job is safe. When the girlfriend calls from a club to ask about him, Margot answers sweetly while whispering orders.

Our take The club call is the stand-out, with Margot answering sweetly while giving orders. A well-built double act, thin on story, and the closing line about keeping the job is a solid tease.
