Synopsis

Amanda's husband is always away on business, and the marriage has settled into silence. She says it is fine because she always does. Then a new neighbor knocks on her door looking for sugar, a lightbulb and, he jokes, some dignity. He is funny, kind and curious, and he notices the small things about her that nobody else does. She is surprised by how easily he puts her at ease. She also can't explain how he knew her name. Her best friend is intrigued, the husband is on another continent, and Amanda is about to find out how much she wants to be seen.

Watch it if...

Watch it if you like a quiet, character first drama with a hint of mystery. The tension is in the small conversations, the loneliness of an empty house and the gradual pull of someone paying attention. Amanda is easy to sympathize with, the neighbor is warm and a little unsettling, and the story moves with subtle confidence.
